Newly promoted Aalesund had a poor start to the season and won none of their first seven league matches. Rekdal's team has, however, found their rhythm in the last period and stood with two consecutive wins against Rosenborg and Brann before the match against Tromsø. Against the Norwegians, it was a point-sharing match. Already after two minutes, Tromsø talent Sander Innevær took the lead with his first goal of the season. The 21-year-old pulled off an Aalesund defender on his way into the field, before he put the ball high into the goal over the sunnmøring goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson. Tromsø maintained the lead until the break, but Aalesund got a hole in the wall after the break. Mathias Christiansen put a free kick in the corner after 57 minutes and equalized for Aalesund. There were no more goals. Tromsø had a great start to the season and are at the top of the table, but Jørgen Vik's men have delivered weaker results in recent times. They stand with only one triumph in their last five matches. Tromsø has KFUM again before the World Cup break, while HamKam waits for Aalesund.
